Aunt Molly’s Ground Cherry

Description

An old polish heirloom. Looks very much like an orange tomato wrapped in a paper husk. The fruit is very sweet and enjoyable. Very easy to grow and hardy producer. High pectin content, makes it great for preserves, pies, over ice cream, or fresh in salads. Husk turns brown when ripe. Stores 3-4 weeks in the husk. Matures in 70 days.
