Described as a lettuce suited for markets looking for unique varieties. Flame is a modern lettuce, introduced in the late 1980’s. Produces distinctive tender red leaves, with mild flavor. A relatively hard to find slow bolting looseleaf lettuce. Matures in 55-65 days.
