An early variety Bred by Elwyn Meader and Albert Yaeger in 1959, as a cross between a New Hampshire Midget and a Pumpkin Rind. These 3 lb beauties have a deep-pink flesh and a refreshingly sweet flavor. The rinds turn yellow when they’re ready making it super easy to tell when it’s ripe. A perfect watermelon for beginners. Great short season variety. Matures in 70 days.
